Headlight restoration in Colchester
Plastic headlight lenses can turn cloudy or yellow over time, which looks tired and can reduce how much light gets through. Restoration removes the degraded surface and refinishes the lens.
When restoration helps
Restoration works on surface haze and yellowing on the outside of the lens. It won't fix moisture inside the unit, cracks or failed internal reflectors, which usually need a replacement headlight.
Before an MOT
Badly clouded lenses can affect headlight output. If you're worried about an upcoming MOT, send us a photo and we'll tell you whether restoration is likely to help.

Headlight restoration: common questions
Can you fix condensation inside a headlight?
Restoration treats the outside of the lens only. Moisture inside the unit usually means a seal problem and may need a replacement lamp.
Do you restore one headlight?
Yes, though doing both often gives a more even look.
