End-of-lease car repairs in Colchester

Lease and PCP returns are inspected for damage beyond fair wear and tear. Getting scuffs, scratches, small dents and kerbed alloys looked at before hand-back lets you compare our repair cost with what the finance company might charge.

Start with your return guide

Most finance companies publish a fair wear and tear guide, often based on industry standards. Have a look at yours, note anything that may fall outside it and send us photos of those areas.

What's worth repairing

Not every mark needs fixing. We'll give you our honest view of which items are worth repairing and which may fall within acceptable wear, but the finance company makes the final decision.

Leave enough time

Contact us a few weeks before your return date so there's time to assess, book in and complete the work.

When we need to see the vehicle

We can usually give an initial view from photos, then confirm on inspection. Photos help with an initial estimate; final pricing follows a physical assessment at our workshop on Hythe Hill, Colchester.

Photos help us give an initial estimate. Some damage needs a physical inspection, and final pricing follows our assessment — we can't guarantee a price from photos alone. Photos are shared only in WhatsApp; this website doesn't collect uploads.

End-of-lease repairs: common questions

Will repairs guarantee I'm not charged?

No one can guarantee that; the finance company's inspection decides. Repairing damage beforehand gives you more control over the cost.

How soon should I get in touch?

Ideally a few weeks before the return date, so there's time to fit the work in.
